Good to know

A few things to
know before boarding.

When does StopWake alert me?

StopWake uses your device's location to estimate how close you are to the destination station. You choose the alert distance, with a two-mile option recommended in the current app.

Can someone see where I am?

You can choose to share a private live journey link with someone you trust. They can follow your progress in their browser. Sharing ends when you end the journey or the link expires; updates depend on your phone and connection. You control whether to send the message through your device.

Can I message someone when I'm almost there?

Yes. Choose a journey contact and a distance for a near-arrival message. The current app can prepare the message for you; review and send it using the phone's messaging system.

Does it work without mobile signal?

Location accuracy and messaging are affected by GPS reception, tunnels, device permissions, battery settings and mobile connectivity. No alert or message delivery can be guaranteed.

What is the safety screen for?

It gives quick access to calling 999, messaging your trusted contact and texting British Transport Police on 61016 for non-emergency railway incidents.

Can I download StopWake now?
